ABU DHABI NATIONAL EXHIBITIONS COMPANY REGISTERS HIGH INTEREST FOR ABU DHABI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW 2018

 Abu Dhabi-UAE: 11 September, 2017

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) today announced that the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2018, set to run at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in October next year, is already registering high uptake from prospective exhibitors and key stakeholders within the marine industry.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC, said: “Over the last few months, we have been witnessing a great deal of interest in the 2018 edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show from local and international leisure and marine industry players and enthusiasts. With over 30 per cent of the Marina berths already sold, the event is well on track to becoming the largest-ever gathering of boats and watersports equipment in Abu Dhabi. Showcasing cutting-edge technology and innovation in the marine industry, the exhibition will offer a unique networking platform for marine professionals to meet and discuss best practices as well as marine luxury and retail trends.”

He added: “With its fine-tuned ability to forecast lifestyle preferences and determine business needs, ADNEC is committed to growing its already impressive portfolio of wide-ranging, high-calibre, and industry-specific events. We are proud to add the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2018 to our extensive list of exhibitions. This exciting upscale event will help consolidate the UAE capital’s status as a preferred destination for business tourism and modern luxury living in the marine and non-marine field alike.”

For his part, Gregor Stinner, CEO of ART Marine – a leading UAE-based yacht dealership and marina operator, said: “We are pleased to confirm our attendance at the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2018. As a business, ART Marine’s operations go beyond the UAE to reach customers in every market where we have a presence. There is no better way to connect with yachting enthusiasts than participating in events on the maritime calendar. The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show offers a great opportunity for promoting yacht sales to an international client base.”

In March 2017, ADNEC announced the ratification of a partnership agreement with British Marine Boat Shows, a subsidiary of British Marine, as part of its efforts to ensure a competitive and successful event. British Marine is one of the UK’s top marine event organisers and also runs the London Boat Show, held at ExCeL London – London’s premier event venue and a wholly owned subsidiary of ADNEC, and TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show. Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri noted that the collaboration underpins ADNEC’s efforts to deliver a well-rounded exhibition showcasing internationally acclaimed marine technology.

The upcoming edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show will take place at ADNEC Marina, which includes a six-metre deep channel enabling ships of all sizes to berth alongside an extensive purpose-built 31,000-square-metre show marina.
